Admittedly, this has less to do with vacation golf, but why not take advantage of a short golf weekend with speed golf? The playing card makes it possible from 195 euros. Ten of Carinthia's golf clubs and almost 40 hotels alone are partners of this card. In Friuli-Venezia Giulia there are four clubs - from the courses by the sea in Grado and Lignano to the mountain forests near Tarvisio and Slovenia even offers 8 golf courses around the "Green Capital of Europe" Ljubljana.
"Undiscovered" was yesterday. Carinthia's cross-border golf program has become famous not only since the IGTM (International Golf Travel Market) in Palma de Mallorca. The "Undiscovered Golf Destination of the Year 2017" golf travel award will be remembered again this October. Namely when the IGTM 2018 opens its doors in Ljubljana on October 15. All the historic houses, streets and squares will be spruced up and there will be a trendy café on every corner. With its 260,000 inhabitants, Ljubljana is very manageable, the pace is slow and the general mood is usually very relaxed. You'll notice this on a walk along the river promenades, the Triple Bridge complex with its parade of columns or on the market square, where every Saturday half the city shops under colonnaded columns, has a chat and drinks a glass of good wine.
