"Eat, Pray, Love" - My Way!
Was it the endless beaches, lush green rice terraces or tropical rainforests that lured novelist Elizabeth Gilbert and her cinematic alter ego Julia Roberts to the island of the gods in the Hollywood blockbuster "Eat, Pray, Love"? Motto and mission: finding yourself and happiness? Or was it the countless Hindu temples adorned with colorful fabrics and flowers that bear witness to a spirituality deeply rooted in the population? For example, during colorful ceremonies and temple dances, accompanied by the mystical sounds of gamelan music.
I was also gripped by Bali fever and set off to the artists' town of Ubud to experience this magical atmosphere! Ubud also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. In fine-dining restaurants such as Bridges Bali and Swept Away at The Samanya, I enjoy Balinese delicacies of the highest standard over a candlelight dinner in a romantic setting by the river. And I fall more in love with this fascinating island with every passing moment. Mission Eat,Pray,Love accomplished!
