March: WALD.WEIT Hotel

Relax, enjoy and hold conferences in the Rheingau

A unique symbiosis of forest and space: Hotel WALD.WEIT is the new destination for relaxation, enjoyment and meetings in the Rheingau. In the middle of Germany in the green oasis of the vibrant Rhine-Main region - and yet in a unique panoramic location high up on a mountain plateau. The design hotel has been the new highlight in the Rheingau since the beginning of February and makes tourism in the Riesling region a completely new experience. With 18 hectares of the hotel's own forest, a panoramic restaurant with regional cuisine, a summer garden, rooftop bar, rooftop saunas, spacious and flexible conference and event areas and a wide range of opportunities to get active.

Modern design - inspired by the forest
The hotel's unusual architecture reflects the forest: inspired by the surrounding nature, the long, thin trunks of the façade are reminiscent of tall trees and dense undergrowth. The symbiosis of modern design and closeness to nature continues inside the WALD.WEIT. With its spectacular wooden slat design, the lobby blends in with the forest surroundings. Stylish, natural interiors also lend the rooms their special ambience. Natural materials such as local woods as well as textures and patterns inspired by nature characterize the interior. The view is a highlight in all rooms: Balconies on every room, floor-to-ceiling windows and a fantastic view of the Rhine Valley or the forest make every moment an experience. Single travelers, couples, families and business guests discover their feel-good place here. The rooms and suites range in size from 25 to 100 square meters.

Sport, relaxation, enjoyment
"The WALD.WEIT combines a unique location with a unique concept," says David Simon, General Manager of the WALD.WEIT: "Nestled in 18 hectares of the hotel's own forest, which offers numerous leisure activities, the WALD.WEIT is the ideal place for many target groups to switch off and recharge their batteries. "Up here on the Rheingau's box seat, we and our highly motivated team want to create individual moments of well-being and happiness for our guests." Thanks to the hotel's own mountain bike trails with varying degrees of difficulty and numerous other activities such as yoga, walking and jogging trails, the Rheinsteig hiking trail in the immediate vicinity and the location in one of Germany's most famous Riesling regions, variety is guaranteed. The famous Eberbach Monastery, Johannisberg Castle, St. Hildegard Abbey, the Niederwald Monument and the two state capitals of Mainz and Wiesbaden with their many historical and cultural highlights are all within easy reach. The saunas on the panoramic roof garden provide soothing moments.

Bringing the forest to your plate
The WALD.FEIN restaurant with its large restaurant terrace and magnificent view invites you to enjoy. Head chef Falk Richter wants to bring the forest to the plate - it goes without saying that the focus is on regional and seasonal cuisine. A cosmopolitan touch provides an exquisite addition to the menu. "We use high-quality products to create an enjoyable experience that focuses on quality and taste," says Falk Richter. The rooftop bar on the hotel roof serves drinks with a magnificent view and the hotel's summer garden will offer relaxed culinary moments in the open air.

Meetings and celebrations with a view
Thanks to its incomparable secluded location, the WALD.WEIT is also ideal for meetings and celebrations. Four event rooms, three of which can be combined for up to 199 people, can be used for business meetings, company parties and private celebrations. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and the huge event terrace is accessible from all rooms.

WALD.WEIT is a family affair
For siblings Tina Badrot and Tim Gemünden, Managing Directors of TT Hospitality GmbH & Co. KG, WALD.WEIT is a project close to their hearts. The hotel is part of a family-run group of companies that has been active as a construction company and real estate developer in the Rhine-Main region for five generations. "For us, the WALD.WEIT in this unique location is also a commitment to the region," says Tina Badrot. "For 140 years, our family business in Ingelheim am Rhein has been committed to strengthening the region and helping to make it even more attractive. With WALD.WEIT, we want to create a place that offers people from near and far relaxation, culinary delights and experiences, inviting them to discover and enjoy the region with all its diverse highlights."

High-quality and sustainable
Sustainability and a connection to nature are important to the owners and operators of the hotel: "When building and operating the hotel, we attach great importance to conserving resources," says Tim Gemünden. "Heating and passive cooling is provided by geothermal energy in combination with a wood chip system." Local wildlife also finds a home thanks to the natural stone facings, which provide nesting sites and habitats. Photovoltaics and extensive and intensive greening are further aspects of the sustainability concept.
