The many possibilities of vegan cuisine

Vegan cuisine is becoming increasingly popular with guests. But not only among those who have chosen vegan as their lifestyle, but also among travelers who want to eat a varied and healthy diet. You don't have to turn your diet upside down to enjoy the plant-based alternatives of the culinary arts. The demand for meat-free dishes has grown in recent years and so domestic and international hotels are increasingly offering vegan options in addition to classic dishes.

"There are numerous reasons that speak in favor of a vegan diet in addition to the variety of flavors. Ethical motives are among them, but also the health aspect and the desire for a more ecologically sustainable lifestyle," - says award-winning chef Siegfried Kröpfl in "In the beginning was the Tyrolean dumpling"...

#neuerluxus describes the diverse and special ways in which travelers can design their luxury vacations in the future. This also includes vegan food. Even if you are not a vegan, you can still enjoy the benefits and taste sensations of vegan cuisine. With new culinary offerings, you can broaden your experience and enjoy a fresh take on Michelin-starred gastronomy.

4 vegan hotels in Austria: our favorites

Many hotels already offer vegan options at breakfast & co. Hummus, almond milk & co. are increasingly becoming a fixed starter at the buffet. Here are four hotels that have jumped on the vegan bandwagon and offer plant-based cuisine in addition to the classic menu.

Hotel Hochschober

The Hochschober wellness hotel in Carinthia has been offering vegan cuisine in addition to the rest of its culinary offerings since 2013. Meat, eggs, dairy products and honey are not used at all. The offer is also well received by guests: around 15% already opt for the vegan alternatives.

Holzhotel Forsthofalm

The vegan heart is not neglected at the Holzhotel Forsthofalm either. Here, the kitchen team pays particular attention to the use of regional organic ingredients and strong flavors to pamper the palate. At breakfast, there is a vegan corner with a wide variety of plant-based products and dishes. The hotel also offers a vegan course in the evening.

Falkensteiner Balance Resort Stegersbach

At the Falkensteiner Balance Resort Stegersbach, the focus is on people. The culinary offer is consciously geared towards special dietary habits such as veganism, diets or intolerances. Vegans are definitely in good hands here. It is also the only certified Metabolic Balance® Resort in Austria.

Reduce Kurhotels

At the breakfast buffet, on the lunch table or in the evening: the Reduce Kurhotels always offer a vegan selection in addition to classic cuisine. The culinary concept of award-winning chef and vegan couch Siegfried Kröpfl served as a model for a new kitchen line. This gives guests the opportunity to try out the plant-based cuisine for themselves in an informal setting.
