Safari under the stars
Priceless experiences at the andBeyond Ngala Treehouse
When the sun sets in the bush in the evening, millions of stars shine in the velvety black sky. And while some go to sleep, others only then really come to life. The sounds of the day fall silent and those of the night begin their little night music. Guests at the two andBeyond lodges in the Ngala Private Game Reserve have recently been given the opportunity to experience the night in Kruger National Park in a completely new way. They can experience incredible nights, adventure and pure African romance in the middle of the wilderness, far away from power grids, WiFi and artificial light.
Adventure in the treetops
A stay at the and Beyond Ngala Safari Lodge or the Ngala Tented Camp promises a safari feeling with luxury character and exciting animal sightings. With the Ngala Treehouse, the South African lodge owner and operator has now created an additional adventure. Guests at the lodges can also book accommodation in the four-storey treehouse surrounded by lush jackalberry and marula trees. It is located around five kilometers from andBeyond Ngala Tented Camp and was designed by Jack Alexander for the South African designer duo Foxbrowne Creative. The building is equipped with every conceivable comfort.
For example, guests can spend the night in the enclosed bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed, hot shower and toilet on the third level. Or they can treat themselves to a view of the starry sky from the raised sleeping platform on the roof. Sundowners are served from the well-stocked bar, while guests enjoy their morning coffee and breakfast snack at the coffee station. If you're lucky, you can even admire the Big Five up close from the safety of the tree house.
In addition to the safari experience, there is also a digital detox. Because you will look in vain for electric light, electricity and WiFi. Six solar panels ensure that devices such as cell phones and camera batteries can be charged. Guests at andBeyond also enjoy the luxury of a clear conscience, as sustainability is a top priority for all of the company's accommodation and offers. Nature was not damaged for the tree house, it can be dismantled and moved at any time and the shower and toilet waste ends up in an underground bio-treatment system.
