Ernesto's electric E-Next

The Cantiere Ernesto Riva shipyard in Laglio on Lake Como has been a pioneer in yacht building for 250 years. Daniele Riva, the eighth generation of Riva, is now leading the legendary Villa d'Este into a new, electric yacht era. The design of the sporty and elegant yacht was inspired by the runabouts of the 1960s as well as the modern designs of Studio Frers. Riva, who is considered a visionary in the field of electromobility, has been dedicated to the development of sporty electric yachts for some time. With the E-Next Villa d'Este, he has now delivered a real masterpiece.

It is probably no coincidence that electromobility is being promoted on Lake Como of all places. Allessandro Giuseppe Antonio Anastasio Volta was born here in 1745. The Italian physicist is known as the inventor of the battery. His name is still the unit of measurement for electrical voltage today. With the E-Next Villa d'Este, Daniele Riva has created a yacht that pleases the eye and at the same time allows guests of the Villa d'Este to enjoy lake excursions at the highest level. In addition, Villa d'Este now has its own e-charging station for boats. The member of the Leading Hotels of the World is thus actively promoting the development of this sustainable form of transportation on Lake Como.

Situated directly on the shores of the lake, just a 40-minute drive from Milan Malpensa Airport, the iconic villa is home to 152 rooms and luxury suites as well as four elegant private villas. This jewel on one of Italy's most beautiful lakes stands for glamor, atmosphere and the splendor of times long past like no other. Guests of the listed property can enjoy the mild sunshine in the extensive park, unwind in the famous nymphaeum with its numerous fountains and water features or relax in the pool floating on the lake. And chug across Lake Como in the future ...
