Casa Fantini: your private lakeside hotel in Italy
Insider tip in Piedmont
Around 23 kilometers west of Lake Maggiore, in the northern Italian region of Piedmont, lies Lake Orta. It is one of the lesser-known of the northern Italian lakes and is therefore considered an insider tip in Italy. However, the approximately 18 square kilometer lake is in no way inferior to Lake Maggiore and the famous Lake Como in terms of beauty. On the contrary, with Casa Fantini, Lake Orta can even boast a hotel jewel right on the shores of the lake, which is ideal for a luxury vacation in absolute privacy. Guests can rent the entire hotel on request, consisting of five superior rooms, four prestige rooms and two suites - all with lake views, of course.
Inspiration for illustrious guests
Where many famous poets and thinkers of the 18th and 19th centuries, including Lord Byron, Honoré de Balzac and Robert Browning, were inspired, guests looking for something special can also enjoy the Italian lifestyle. Casa Fantini was designed by world-famous architect Piero Lissoni of Lissoni Architettura in close collaboration with Daniela Fantini, the owner of the hotel. The star designer, who has also designed the interiors of hotels such as the Monaco & Grand Canal in Venice and the Bentley Hotel in Istanbul, perfectly realized Fantini's vision of a hotel inspired by the tides of the lake.
Apart from the beautifully furnished rooms, it is the terraces with lake or garden views that make a stay so special. The garden, from which you can enjoy the view of the lake and San Giulio Island, the library and the homemade cakes served every day in the lobby give the property the relaxed character of a family home. The pillar on which the hotel concept rests is called "Lake Time". The essence: tranquillity, harmony, peace and a stay tailored to the guests' wishes. This also means that all guests have their own spa.
What sounds incredible is made possible by en-suite spas in every room. They are equipped with a Turkish bath and color light therapy facilities. The spa therapist comes to the room for the treatments, such as the "Tranquility Sleep Ritual". This is one of the signature treatments at Casa Fantini and is designed to help guests get the best sleep of their lives with an Ayurvedic massage. And they need it, because there are all kinds of things to discover around the lake. Whether you take a boat for a picnic on the island in the lake, ride an e-bike, visit the historic old town of Orta San Giulio, taste wine and truffles or travel with a local guide in a vintage car: there's never a dull moment on Lake Orta.
