Upgrade for the AMANYARA
New adventures and renovated pavilions on Turks & Caicos
Just in time for its 15th anniversary, the AMANYARA on the Turks & Caicos island of Providenciales is getting a facelift. The 38 pavilions will shine in new splendor, while guests will have the opportunity to explore the surrounding coastal landscape and the 7,200-hectare nature reserve around the resort as part of new activities and experiences.
New things come, tried and tested things stay
The legendary Jean Michel Gathy originally designed the villas and pavilions of the Amanyara. His minimalist design with a clear focus on the fusion of indoor and outdoor areas is what makes the Amanyara so charming. This has remained untouched, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors still connecting the spacious bedrooms and living rooms with the expansive terraces. However, some details have been changed inside the 65 to 260 square meter accommodations, some of which have their own pool. They now have new furniture, custom-made beds, deep, free-standing bathtubs, modern lighting and custom-made mirrors.
For an extra dose of privacy, stay in one of the 263 square meter Pool Pavilion Villas. Not only do they have their own swimming pool, but also a private garden, children's room, fully equipped gym, extensive terraces, spacious living and dining areas with bar and pantry included, as well as their own golf cart to quickly get from one place to another in the resort. These villas are ideal for families or for longer stays, for example as part of the 30-day "At Home with Amanyara" program.
A place of peace
The Amanyara, which translates as "place of peace", lives up to its name. It is located on a pristine beach with white sand and turquoise waters, surrounded by lush greenery. Guests can experience the North West Point Marine National Park at its best. The activities on offer at the luxury resort include diving excursions to North West Point, which is famous for its cliffs, as well as horse riding along the trails through the countryside or along the coast. Kitesurfing is even faster: just half an hour's drive away, beginners and advanced kitesurfers can enjoy consistent wind and shallow water at Long Bay.
Back at the Amanyara, guests can relax in the Amanyara Spa with hydrotherapy, Pilates or yoga in the open air. Tennis courts, a boxing studio, soccer pitch, basketball and volleyball courts as well as a lacrosse field are available for sports enthusiasts, as are tailor-made adventure activities such as deep-sea fishing.
