New spa at the Beau-Rivage Palace
The Swiss hotel icon offers a new oasis of well-being
The Beau-Rivage Palace has been perched on the shores of Lake Geneva since 1861. It can therefore confidently claim to be Lausanne's first luxury hotel. The historic hotel, whose rooms and suites were recently updated by the world-famous interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, is nestled in a four-hectare park. It offers its guests spectacular views of the French and Swiss Alps. Pleasure has always been a priority here. However, this is not limited to the hotel's own restaurants, such as the gourmet restaurant "Anne-Sophie Pic at Beau-Rivage Palace", which has been awarded two Michelin stars, but goes much further. The brand new Cinq Mondes Spa also revolves around this theme.
New concept for the 160th anniversary
Opened in June 2020, the Cinq Mondes Spa is the result of an eight-month renovation phase and the vision of Managing Director Nathalie Seiler-Hayez. It is the first step towards the "Wellness Experience", as the hotel's new business philosophy is called. Guests can expect a 1,500 square meter spa inspired by the great wellness traditions from around the world, where quality, authenticity and exquisite service come together. Naturally, nothing has been left to chance. Jean-Louis Poirux, the founder of Cinq Mondes, traveled the world for more than ten years to discover the best wellness treatments in the world. Fragrant baths, Balinese and Taoist massages and other exotic treatments are on offer, as are private spa suites, relaxation rooms, heat and water experience areas, a fitness room, yoga studio and heated pools.
One of the many exclusive features for wellness lovers is the "immersive massage". This is a unique, interactive experience. During this massage, the spa therapist creates a personalized musical accompaniment of animal and nature sounds, allowing guests to relax immediately.
The project was realized by architect Alexandre Pierart from Suprem Architectures. His aim was to create a journey of discovery of physical sensations and visual emotions. "Visitors are invited to embark on a sensory journey through a series of mysterious spaces that offer tranquillity while stimulating the imagination. It is an intimate place, shielded from the outside world, characterized by feminine and organic forms," says Alexandre Pierart, describing the architecture of the new Cinq Mondes Spa.
When the Beau-Rivage Palace celebrates its 160th anniversary in March 2021, there will be even more news for guests. There will be newly created yoga and meditation areas as well as an exceptional double suite with exquisite service.
