Spring in South Tyrol: these are our hotel tips
Fantastically beautiful at any time of year
As the snow melts in the valleys, the meadows shine in dazzling white again. Millions of tiny blossoms sprout on thousands of apple trees. Magnolias add splashes of pink color before the vines sprout and the blossoms climb ever higher up the slopes. Along the South Tyrolean Wine Road around Lake Kaltern, guests are already sitting on the terraces while people are still skiing just a few kilometers away. A Mediterranean feeling against an Alpine backdrop. Now hikers and cyclists are returning, as are all those who long for sun, warmth and dolce vita after gray winter days. By the way: from March to May, many hotels in South Tyrol offer particularly attractive activity, wellness and gourmet packages.
Adler Lodge Ritten
Renon has been the traditional summer resort of the people of Bolzano since the 17th century, but in spring the sunny plateau is still an insider tip. The climate is fantastic with warm days and cool nights - just like the Adler Lodge Ritten. From there, you can look out over the alpenglow of the Dolomites as if from an opera box. The natural spectacle is particularly beautiful from the terraces and the infinity edge pool. African prints on reddish larch wood beams create a safari feeling in the lodge. The fire crackles in the fireplace and there are countless wines and drinks at the bar. Everything is included in the generous all-inclusive concept - as well as breakfast, lunch and a gourmet menu in the panorama restaurant in the gable of the lodge. In view of the cozy suites and chalets and the great spa, it is hard to leave this place of power at all. E-mountain bikes are available free of charge and hiking trails start right outside the door. Although the lodge at 1,150 meters exudes a heavenly tranquility, the hustle and bustle of Bolzano's arcades is only minutes away. The Ritten cable car takes you over vineyards directly to the old town.

Weinegg Wellviva Resort
The fact that spring arrives earlier on the Wine Route than in other parts of South Tyrol can be seen at first glance in the Weinegg Resort park: The huge pools and terraces are framed not only by vines and fruit trees, but also by cypresses, oleanders and olive trees. The five-star hotel in Eppan scores with its Mediterranean flair, gourmet cuisine and, above all, its gigantic spa with countless saunas, steam baths and pools. The pool in front of the new spa wing measures an impressive 60 m! The first floor suites offer pool access from their terraces. The spa suites are straightforwardly modern, while the rooms and suites in the main building are designed in traditional South Tyrolean style.
