The Glacier Hotel opens in December 2025

Ski-in/ski-out right outside the door

From December 20, 2025, there will be a new premium accommodation offer in the middle of Les Diablerets, the charming mountain village in the heart of the Vaud Alps. Following a comprehensive renovation of the 111 rooms, the traditional Eurotel Victoria will open as The Glacier Hotel (4-star superior). The 25 million franc investment by Gstaad 3000 AG creates a year-round accommodation that combines tradition and alpine lifestyle.

"Never change a winning team", thought Bernhard Tschannen, CEO of Glacier 3000, when he integrated the Eurotel Victoria, which opened in 1972, into the Glacier 3000 Group. Now the experienced host couple Alexandra and Stéphane Wartner are leading the traditional hotel into a new era: as The Glacier Hotel with 111 newly renovated rooms, a cozy lobby, swimming pool with sauna and bio sauna, terrace and restaurant, the hotel will be open almost all year round from Christmas. Most of the staff will be able to switch from seasonal to permanent employment, emphasizes Bernhard Tschannen. This will create economic added value for the municipality of Les Diablerets.

Les Diablerets - between Lake Geneva and Gstaad

The location of Les Diablerets makes it unique: just 30 minutes from glamorous Gstaad and around an hour from Lake Geneva, the resort combines the tranquillity of an authentic Alpine village with excellent accessibility. This makes The Glacier Hotel the perfect base for short breaks as well as longer vacations.
The hotel is located at an altitude of 1200 meters, just a few steps away from the cable cars, offering ski-in/ski-out access. Winter hiking trails, a cross-country ski trail, a toboggan run and an ice rink start right on the doorstep - a true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation. Thanks to its altitude, the area is considered snow-sure: the ski area is open from November 8, 2025 to the end of April 2026 and is part of the popular Magic Pass.

Many superlatives and mountain experiences at Glacier 3000

The Glacier 3000 leisure region only closes for 25 days a year, as sensational highlights such as the Glacier Walk, the Peak Walk by Tissot (the world's only suspension bridge connecting two mountain peaks) and the Alpine Coaster (the world's highest toboggan run at 3,000 meters) attract young and old alike. Spectacular descents thrill ski enthusiasts; with a gradient of 46 degrees, the Black Wall slope is one of the steepest in the world.

Now also a member of Private Selection Hotels & Tours

From the 2025 winter season, the hotel will be included in the prestigious Private Selection hotel network - a clear sign that the rooms, public areas and cuisine will meet the highest standards after the refurbishment.

The Glacier Hotel also offers the best opportunities in the MICE sector with its own event rooms and the Les Diablerets congress center.
