After the 5* boutique hotel Can Bordoy in Palma's historic La Lonja district, owner Mikael Hall is opening another hotel around 15 minutes outside the city. The renovated Son Molí Country House & Garden is surrounded by gardens, fruit trees and a 19th century farm. A windmill is also a reminder of the property's agricultural past. The interior design is rustic, in muted colors and with custom-made furniture. In the Lassala restaurant, chef Andres Benítez focuses on plant-based dishes. In addition to picnics in the forest and yoga in the orchards, leisure activities include cycling and tennis. The spa has a heated outdoor pool, plunge pool and sauna.

2. Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra
Over the cliffs of Calvìa

The long-awaited Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra is set to welcome its first guests this summer. The former H10 Punta Negra Hotel presents itself in a contemporary design with local cultural references. It is located in Calvìa on a peninsula on the Costa d'en Blanes in the southwest of the island and extends over three hectares of cliffs and gardens that cascade down to the sea. The complex includes two bays with exclusive access. Guests stay in 131 hideaways, including 44 suites and nine bungalows. All have outdoor terraces or balconies, some have full sea views and a private panoramic pool. The culinary offerings include local and international restaurants. 3rd Iberostar Selection Es Trenc
Iberostar Hotel in Mallorca

In April, Iberostar opens its 16th hotel on Mallorca with the Iberostar Selection Es Trenc. The former THB Sur Mallorca in Colònia de Sant Jordi in the south of the island has been converted into a 5* hotel in Mediterranean style. There are 145 rooms and suites with balconies, including three themed suites. Guests can choose between a buffet restaurant, the à la carte Salivent restaurant and three bars. A highlight of the hotel is the roof terrace with reflection pool and sea view. There is also an infinity pool right by the sea, a wellness area and a gym with terrace. Action & variety are provided by rental bikes, transparent kayaks and stand-up paddle boards as well as activities such as yoga or movie nights on the roof terrace.

4th Purobeach Resort Santa Ponsa Oasis del Mar
Premiere for the Puro Group

From this summer, the Purobeach Resort Santa Ponsa Oasis del Mar will combine the two beach clubs and the four hotels of the Puro Group into an exclusive holiday resort for the first time. The former Hotel Club Santa Ponsa directly overlooks the bay of the same name. 5th Vignette Collection Mallorca - Finca Banyols

Three years after the opening of the Kimpton in Santa Ponsa, IHG Hotels & Resorts is now launching its second hotel on Mallorca - and the first under the Vignette Collection brand. The Vignette Collection Mallorca - Finca Banyols is set to open in the first half of 2025. The opening of Aethos Mallorca on June 15 marks the lifestyle hotel group's entry into the Spanish market. Converted into a stylish 5* boutique hotel, the former Hotel Mar i Pins is located on a steep coastline in Peguera, in the southwest of the island. The design is inspired by the colors and textures of the nearby beaches, dunes and cliffs. Large windows and plenty of natural light create a special atmosphere with views of the Mediterranean and the rolling hills all around.
