The Moorish fortress Al Jafar looks back on 1000 years of history. As the name suggests, it is of Arab origin and was initially the residence of Emir Jafar (989-1035), a patron of the arts and sciences, who is described by historians as the "Lorenzo the Great" of the Arab Renaissance in Sicily. The impressive estate is located in the west of Sicily not far from the city of Trapani and offers its guests a magnificent view of the historic town of Enrice and the Egadi Islands in the deep blue glittering sea.
