Amanpuri translates as "peaceful place". With its location on a green peninsula, the resort is completely self-contained. The 40 guest pavilions and luxurious private villas are nestled on a gentle slope in the subtropical vegetation of the coconut grove with picturesque views of the sea. Their graceful Thai design with pointed roofs and warm woods is a reference to the architecture of Thailand's former capital Ayutthaya. The new facilities reflect the same aesthetic and blend seamlessly into the lush natural landscape of the property.

Due to its tranquil setting, private beach and extensive spa facilities, Amanpuri has always been a haven for those seeking relaxation. With the introduction of Aman Wellness in 2016, the resort launched a group-wide holistic initiative characterized by innovative wellness stays, experiential retreats and vegan spa cuisine. As part of this commitment, the Aman Spa has now been expanded and the existing treatment rooms have been made even more beautiful and spacious.

Situated on a hill, the spa now has 12 luxurious suites - six of which are newly built. All suites are also twice as large as before the renovation and each has a spacious treatment room, a bathroom with steam bath, a dressing room and a relaxation pavilion in the tropical garden. Other new features include the hydrotherapy areas with steam baths, traditional saunas, two infrared saunas, whirlpools and cold water pools as well as a nail studio and hairdressing salon.
