In the middle of Vienna, a very special and magical place has been given a new lease of life: once an imperial military riding school and later the largest cinema in the city, the Imperial Riding School has opened its doors to travelers in the quiet 3rd district after several years of renovation.
Surrounded by architectural masterpieces and nestled in the surrounding artists' quarter, the magnificent hotel is the first establishment of the international Autograph Collection Hotels brand in Austria and harmoniously combines tradition and zeitgeist. The rooms and suites are inspired by the founder of the riding school, Emperor Franz Joseph I. Design elements of equestrian art meet appealing color accents and pay homage to the bohemians who shaped the character of the quarter.
With a magnificent ballroom, elegant rooms for intimate celebrations and historic rooms for a company meeting, the hotel offers a variety of function rooms for many occasions. The rooms can accommodate up to 400 guests and with one of the largest private gardens in Vienna, there are plenty of opportunities to relax at the end of the day.
In the Elstar restaurant, named after the apple variety in the hotel's own orchard, classics of imperial and royal cuisine are reinterpreted with modern, creative accents. The spacious garden with outdoor bar celebrates the magic of the seasons, from spring awakenings to summer BBQs and picnics to the Christmas market. The hotel's own bar, The Farrier, named after the blacksmith who fitted in with the historical ambience, offers a relaxed setting for aperitifs, night cups and everything else that brings joy with its fine drinks.
