THE WELLEM is located in a historic, listed building of the former Palace of Justice in the heart of Düsseldorf's city center.
The reception cleverly separates the old building (1923) from the new building in which all 102 studios and suites of the hotel are located. Each suite is equipped with two TVs, washing machine, dryer, kitchen, underfloor heating, suite pad and Bluetooth speakers. Alongside the architecture, art is an important component of the luxury boutique hotel. The namesake of the new Unbound Collection Hotel is Elector and patron of the arts Jan Wellem. THE WELLEM is home to an impressive collection of contemporary art by Julian Schnabel, Uecker and Jeff Koons.
The highlight and guests' favorite are the 90 m² Terrace Art Suites, which have been decorated by various artists, including the renowned German artist Leon Löwentraut and Dieter Nuhr. THE WELLEM also offers a unique variety of culinary delights, from steakhouse and Mediterranean cuisine to upscale local cuisine. The focus at THE WELLEM is on people. This means not only the guests, but also the hotel staff. This is also reflected in the very personal service.
