LA MAISON

Rendezvous between tradition and modernity

The LA MAISON hotel in Saarlouis stands for high-quality architecture, local appreciation and excellent cuisine. A place that recognizes the old, but interprets it in a new way. With the hotel, owner Günter Wagner has created a tribute to the city, a compliment to the region and a communicative place for locals and globetrotters alike.

The LOUIS restaurant, which also defended its Michelin Guide star in 2020, is located in the former courtroom of the historic villa dating back to 1914. Here, head chef Martin Stopp focuses on the gourmet side of Saarland and offers gourmet cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. The PASTIS bistro in the former janitor's house offers creative French cuisine.

In addition to the culinary delights, the LA MAISON hotel has also boasted a new guest house since November 2019. Located in the middle of the hotel's own park, the twelve rooms and suites blend harmoniously into the surroundings and impress with their simple, straightforward style. The interior blends in with the existing ensemble of buildings: Warm elegance, high-quality materials and selected designer pieces. Host Günter Wagner is thus expanding the capacity of his four-star superior hotel to 50 units. The architecture and interior design of ten rooms and one suite were created by CBAG.Studio from Saarlouis, who took over the reins for the core renovation of the historic villa back in 2015. A second suite was designed by Conni Kotte Interior from Hamburg. Here, guests can sense that authentic craftsmanship creates a sensual aura. From the pendant lamp with its mouth-blown glass body to the individually designed furniture - the love of quality and value is evident in every detail. Conni Kotte was inspired by a salon from the 1930s/40s. Earthy, urban colors such as beige and brown as well as a mix of different materials such as bronze and burnished brass, Rainforest Brown natural stone and oak wood form the basis of the room style. Atmospheric, minimalist, timeless - this is how the new rooms can be described. Natural materials, oiled oak flooring and wall paneling combined with color-coordinated tiles and fabrics create a cozy atmosphere. Wardrobe elements decorated with rattan, marble washbasins and ornamental glazing bear witness to bygone eras and refer to the origins of the hotel.
