If you check into the Son Brull Hotel & Spa in the north of Mallorca, you will see why this picturesque property at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains is also known as the "Rural Sanctuary".

The former Jesuit monastery from the 18th century is now a family-run boutique hotel that combines rural charm with luxury and a Mediterranean lifestyle. 30 hectares provide ample privacy and lush Mediterranean vegetation. Everywhere, the transitions between old and new are fluid, with modern elements and design classics blending in with the historic ambience.
We instantly fell in love with our suite on the 3rd floor with its large terrace including XXL lounge sofa, whirlpool and gigantic 270-degree panoramic view as far as the shimmering blue sea. Suite Dreams, which we are reluctant to leave, even though the complex offers other dreamlike places and views: the recently renovated spa with nature-based treatments and views of vines and orange trees, a blue infinity pool, a historic oil mill that now functions as a tapas & cocktail bar and a restaurant with a romantic courtyard, where chef Andreu Segura serves excellent organic gourmet cuisine with ingredients from the hotel's own garden.
Particularly suitable for families are the four villa suites with pool and private garden, which are located slightly off the beaten track. A day in the country begins with morning yoga in the garden, followed by breakfast on the terrace by the pool: freshly squeezed juices, homemade jam, delicious almond cake and à la carte egg dishes. The vegan omelette with avocado, rocket and roasted tomatoes is particularly delicious. Everything is served by the always friendly service. Tip for beach fans and active vacationers: there are some beautiful beaches nearby as well as the 9-hole "Golf de Pollença" course.
