Pleta del Mar, Luxury Hotel by Nature
The highlight by the sea
Even when the doorbell is pressed several times, the entrance gate made of slender tree trunks remains closed. Then Marc Fosh arrives in his green Mini. We follow him. We learn that the Michelin-starred chef has been responsible for the culinary concept of the "Sa Pleta by Marc Fosh" restaurant since last summer.
The anticipation for the evening is great. After a welcome drink on the bar terrace with a view across the beautiful grounds to the sea, we stroll to our suite - a mini villa in Bauhaus style. A dream in white with plenty of space and a large terrace with sun loungers, surrounded by lush greenery. The interior is dominated by natural materials. The bathroom features a large, free-standing bathtub, an open-air shower in the leafy patio and L'Occitane cosmetics. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring nature in.
The Pleta de Mar is an oasis of calm that has a decelerating and incredibly relaxing effect. The extensive gardens, two infinity pools and a gym on an outdoor wooden platform also guarantee a relaxing stay. Balinese beds right by the sea and private access to the small Cala Albardans bay with its pebble beach round off the outdoor offerings.
In fine weather, guests can dine on the picturesque terrace with sea views. "Aromas de Canyamel" is the name of the menu composed by Marc Fosh, which is definitely not to be missed. His "Bombeta" rice with lobster, saffron, salted lemons, Mediterranean sake and coconut bouillabaisse is delicious. The service is just as charming and welcoming as in all other areas of this exceptional boutique hotel.
