The two Kensho Hotels in Ornos and Psarou are revitalizing the island hotel industry with a new, fresh design. Although Cycladic influences are unmistakable, Asian elements also come into play. These are complemented by a successful mix of natural stone, various types of wood and concrete.

The older Kensho House , which opened in 2016, is located above the bay of Ornos, within walking distance of the beach, beach clubs and restaurants. If you want more action, use the hotel's own shuttle to Mykonos Town. The entire complex faces the sea, so you can enjoy a wonderful view from anywhere in the resort. With only 35 rooms and open-plan suites, which are not very spacious but very homely, it is manageable and offers a very personal atmosphere. Everything is cozy, casual, uncomplicated and the dedicated, young, pretty service staff adapt to this concept with ease. Highlights include the beautiful pool - with fantastic star lighting at night - as well as the restaurant and bar.
The cuisine is modern Greek with international influences. The Greek mezes for two were impeccable and were actually enough
for four. However, there is also a multi-course tasting menu. The wine list with numerous bottles from selected Greek winegrowers was also well put together and moderately priced. All this with knowledgeable and very friendly service at the table, atmospheric candlelight romance followed by very entertaining live music at the bar. In the mornings, everything is also top-notch in culinary terms: a high-quality, varied buffet, poached eggs fresh à la carte, lots of fruit, plenty of yoghurt, rich cereals, only the coffee wasn't quite as sparkling. And the coffee cups themselves also fell a little short of the usual design. In complete contrast to the original washbasins, which look like XXL spaghetti pots. There should be a waste garbage can in the bathroom for this.
