Half Moon
With a 6,300 m² spa
Sport is a top priority at Half Moon. Highlights include the eleven floodlit tennis courts, the sporty and scenic golf course and the resort's own equestrian center - there are also horseback rides on the beach, where horse and rider go swimming together. The nucleus of the luxury resort, which has continued to develop over the years, is the area known as "Founders Cove", where we stayed.
Our very spacious Ocean Suite , furnished in English country house style, was a place to feel at home. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful terrace with access to a small beach. If you need even more space, rent one of the villas between the golf course and the sea.
We were also impressed by the gastronomic offerings, such as the lunch in the Spice & Hammock Bar near the beach with salad niçoise and excellent fish & chips. We were also served by a particularly courteous waiter. The atmospheric and culinary highlight, however, was the romantic dinner on the beach in the light of specially erected torches. We enjoyed a first-class multi-course menu with pasta, risotto, lobster and fillet of beef as well as corresponding wines - everything was just right.
Back to the size of the resort: The 6,300 m2 spa, which is used for a mix of traditional Jamaican healing methods and modern treatments, is XXL in size and really great, and not just by Caribbean standards!
