The adults-only boutique hotel Fontsanta in the southeast of Mallorca boasts the only natural thermal spring on the Balearic Islands.

The 38°C warm water is rich in minerals with a beneficial and healing effect on the entire body. The historic main building from 1845 and several outbuildings are nestled in a spacious garden with sculptures by Joan Costa. There are secluded spots with loungers and large day beds everywhere. Water is omnipresent, running through the entire hotel area right up to the "Holy Spring", the heart of the resort. Here you can immerse yourself in hot healing water. I recommend the picturesque Jacuzzi, which is built into a Marés stone vault overlooking an idyllic inner courtyard.
The rooms and suites are bright and spacious, most have a private terrace, patio or balcony - some also offer a view of the salt pans of Es Salobrar. The rooms are furnished in a modern and purist style: Light natural tones, gold, lots of white, wooden floors and beautiful stone set the tone. Despite all the minimalism, a second armchair in the room would have been desirable.
Despite the beautiful surroundings , the road running directly past the hotel cannot always be completely ignored. The cuisine at the Fontsanta restaurant, recommended by the Michelin Guide, is excellent. Be sure to try the red prawn tartare made from the famous Sóller prawns with almond ice cream or the irresistible cocoa textures by Chilean chef Jhonatan Maldonado!
It's hard to beat the romance of the restaurant terrace under old trees, illuminated by torches in the evening, where you can dine to soft music. The young service team looks after the guests with dedication and attention. An excursion on foot, by bike or on horseback to Playa Es Trenc is highly recommended. The Caribbean-style dream beach is just three kilometers away.
