Casa de Campo

Eldorado for golfers and other active people

Ideal for anyone who enjoys sports on vacation or appreciates gated communities
To call Casa de Campo simply a resort would be a shameless understatement. Because what once began as a 60-bed hotel in a sugar cane factory near La Romana is, well, what is it? Perhaps Casa de Campo is best described as a self-contained, secure and self-sufficient community for residents and holidaymakers, which even has its own airport, a school and an artificial village modeled on a medieval Mediterranean town with stores, bars, restaurants, a cinema and an amphitheatre.

The actual hotel, which also includes 50 individual villas with pools, is located in the center of the area, but not directly on the beach. New, spacious and classically elegant Premier Club rooms and suites with their own reception, bar and club lounge will be completed at the end of 2022. A new, exclusive spa will also open in February 2023. To get around the extensive grounds, guests will have their own golf carts, which they can also use in the morning for a proper breakfast. Afterwards, the comfortable e-mobiles take you to the man-made but beautiful white sandy beach. The Minitas Beach Club there is our favorite, whether for a sundowner or a romantic dinner - great atmosphere, good food. Also worth a recommendation is the Spanish restaurant La Casita in the marina, which serves outstanding seafood and excellent steaks. If you don't want to drive your own golf cart in the evening, take the shuttle bus, which runs every half hour.

Ambitious golfers-- can tee off on three championship courses during the day. They are among the most beautiful and varied in the Caribbean. Alternatively, there is tennis, horse riding, polo or clay pigeon shooting at the shooting range. Then it's on to shopping, a coffee or a glass of wine at the marina or dinner at the beach club - just as if you were a Casa de Campo resident ...
