Virginia residents celebrate festivals and enjoy their food year-round. People from the coastal regions honor seafood, crab, shrimp and oysters. From Piedmont on the hills, regional recipes dominate, such as cookies and sauces, country ham, jams. Virginia has over 190 wineries and is therefore particularly proud of its wine. Virginia Beach Virginia USA - Longest pleasure beach in the world
The largest city in the state of Virginia is best known for its 45 km long sandy beach and its 5 km long beach promenade. This makes it one of the longest pleasure beaches in the world. There are numerous nice restaurants and bars along the promenade, inviting you to relax and linger. Virginia Beach is particularly suitable for a family vacation, as it not only offers amusement parks, but also shopping centers and numerous sports facilities.

Sights in Virginia - A piece of history
Virginia offers its guests a wide variety of sights and attractions. Enjoy the view of the 19th century Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and marvel at St. Luke's Shrine in Newport, the oldest Gothic church in America.

surrender of the southern states in the American Civil War. The remains of the historic settlement of James Town can be admired in the Colonial National Historic Park and the Museum of Conferacy offers a detailed account of the Civil War in America. The Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond is the ideal place for bookworms and a particularly nice attraction. But Virginia also has the right attraction for art lovers. The Virginia Museum of Fine Art is home to one of the most important collections of Impressionism in America.
