Tenerife
Many possibilities
As a nature and outdoor paradise, Tenerife is known to be a top destination for golfers, hikers, climbers, cyclists and water sports enthusiasts all year round. The air and water temperature is currently around 20° Celsius. Whether you tee off and hole out on one of the eight golf courses, hike through volcanic scree fields and evergreen laurel forests, tackle adventurous climbs and rapid descents by bike, ride the waves of the Atlantic on a kiteboard or surfboard or simply take a look at the largest Canary Island from above with a paraglider - Tenerife invites adrenaline junkies and active holidaymakers to explore the island from their own perspective. Important: For all sports activities, group activities and team sports indoors in sports facilities and centers as well as outdoors, where the safety distance of two meters cannot be maintained, a maximum number of four people including the coach is permitted.
If you just want to relax and enjoy yourself, Tenerife is also the right place for you, as the island is balm for the soul: with rugged rock formations, steep cliffs and green forests, Tenerife's landscape is consistently unique, but the beaches in particular are unmistakable here. While the sand of volcanic origin is black, fine and silky in the north, it has a golden yellow color in the south. It's not just the salt water and the sea breeze blowing around beach visitors' noses that are soothing and healing for the body. At El Socorro beach in the north of the island, for example, bathers can sit back and relax while watching the surfers ride the waves. From here you also have a wonderful view of the rugged silhouette of the north of Tenerife.

Extravagance and pure indulgence: Tenerife's Michelin-starred cuisine
Tenerife's gastronomy is not only as unique as the island itself, but also award-winning. The island's cuisine boasts a total of six Michelin stars, making it one of the most outstanding in the country. The award-winning restaurants are MB (Martín Berasategui) and Kabuki at The Ritz-Carlton Abama Hotel with two stars, as well as Kazán, El Rincón de Juan Carlos and Nub at La Laguna Gran Hotel with one star each. Here guests will find unique local products of excellent quality, prepared by the best chefs on the island. The atmosphere of the different restaurants adds to the enjoyable and relaxed dining experience.
Wine & more Wine
The fine and mostly hand-picked wines of Tenerife are something special in every respect and by no means just everyday wines for the supermarket. The year-round mild and balanced island climate and the fertile volcanic soils give the fine wines a special aroma. As the cultivation areas on Tenerife are very small, the majority of the wines are consumed directly on the island and only a limited number of bottles are exported and sold in Germany. This is why grape varieties such as Listán Blanco, Listán Negro, Malvasia and Verdello are rather unknown in this country and therefore a real insider tip.
Guachines - an insider tip for wine lovers
During the wine season, farmers all over the island open their guachinches, small restaurants, sometimes even in the garage of a farmhouse, comparable to the Straußwirtschaften in southern Germany. Those who like down-to-earth restaurants with regional cuisine will find what they are looking for here. In addition to home-style cooking, they also offer their own wine. Holidaymakers driving through the countryside can stop off at various establishments to taste and buy the finest wine. The "Guachinches" can be easily identified by a sign that reads "Se vende vino".

Stargazing
Teide National Park is home to the third highest island volcano in the world and Spain's highest peak. Recognized as a Starlight Tourist Destination by the Starlight Foundation, the Canary Island of Tenerife offers perfect conditions for getting up close to the stars thanks to its geographical location and low light pollution;
Bathing with a difference
Tenerife is the only place in the world where all volcanic processes are omnipresent - from unique landscapes to black sand beaches and impressive natural pools. The sea pools are mainly located in the northwest of the Canary Island and offer a very special swimming experience, as they give guests the feeling of swimming in the middle of the sea while at the same time offering the protection of an enclosed pool. The natural pools were created by lava flows flowing into the sea
