Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City impresses with its strikingly clean streets, but even if the city is characterized by the Mormons with their strictly conservative faith, in which the family is the focus, there is no lack of great shopping opportunities and great restaurants and bars, in which - what many do not know - alcohol is also served. In 2002, the city hosted the Winter Olympics. The famous ski resorts with their rugged peaks at around 3,500 m, which dominate the cityscape in the east of the city, are only a few kilometers away from the city centre. Ski resorts such as Park City, Alta and Deer Valley are particularly famous for their fluffy powder snow, which prides itself on being "The Greatest Snow on Earth".

Sightseeing Salt Lake City - A friendly big city The Utah State Capitol Building in Salt Lake in Salt Lake City is one of the most popular tourist attractions. The beautiful Renaissance-style building was completed in 1915 and impresses with its beautiful murals in the rotunda. Despite its population of 180,000, Salt Lake City feels like a small city. Wide streets and an efficient mass transit system make it easily walkable. Numerous museums and a state-of-the-art planetarium thrive here, as many cultural institutions are supported by public funding. However, the many green spaces mean that the city does not feel like a big city, but rather like a small town.
