French Alps

High up on the roof of Europe
The French Alps stretch majestically and with impressive scenery between Lake Geneva and the Côte d'Azur, proving to be a true winter paradise: Mont Blanc, the Winter Olympics venues of Chamonix, Grenoble and Albertville as well as the sophisticated winter sports resorts of Les Trois Vallées, La Plagne and Tignes are multi-faceted attractions.
Countless chalets, luxury hotels and wellness facilities as far as the eye can see regularly attract connoisseurs and lovers of "savoir vivre". Passionate extreme sports enthusiasts also enjoy the region, as the Alps offer everything the outdoor heart desires. From snow tours and paragliding to rafting, ski biking and granite climbing on Mont Blanc, there is something for everyone. The southern part of the Alps, on the other hand, delights with its Mediterranean flair and fragrant lavender fields.
