Cyprus facilitates entry
Vaccination system, vaccination and tests
The basis for all entry regulations is a traffic light system that categorizes each country into green, orange and red depending on the incidence of coronavirus. Visitors arriving from a country categorized in green do not need a PCR test before departure and on arrival in Cyprus and do not have to go into quarantine on arrival. Visitors from an orange country must present a negative PCR test that is no more than 72 hours old before departure and do not have to quarantine in Cyprus. Anyone coming from a country classified as red must present a negative PCR test before departure, take another one on arrival, but also not quarantine. Self-isolation is therefore not required for all tourists who test negative. Every traveler must fill out and submit the so-called Cyprus Flight Pass online 24 hours before departure.
The relaxed entry requirements apply to a total of 65 countries, including EU member states, members of the European Economic Area (including Norway and Iceland), Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Canada, the Emirates and many other countries. Vaccination is not a requirement for vacationing in Cyprus. However, those who have been fully vaccinated can look forward to further relief from May 10. They will no longer have to take the tests to enter the country, regardless of the categorization of the country they come from. Proof of receipt of the Sputnik V vaccine or another vaccine approved in the EU is required. This must also be uploaded to the Cyprus Flight Pass platform.
The country reserves the right to randomly test arriving passengers, regardless of their vaccination status, country of departure and PCR test result on departure. Incidentally, anyone who provides false information is personally liable and liable to prosecution.
