Long Island in winter

Long Island is the perfect destination for a short break after a city trip: luxury accommodation, but also cozy B&Bs, entice with off-season prices and excellent wineries with delicacies for the palate. Whether it's a family-friendly adventure, a romantic getaway or a relaxing break - the island just outside New York knows how to inspire its visitors, even in the cooler months of the year.

Visitors can enjoy a special atmosphere at Winterfest - a 5-week series of cultural and culinary highlights taking place from February 7 to March 8, 2020. Here, guests experience winter on Long Island's East End up close - for example in the vineyards and breweries - and with good food, music, artists and local flair.

Culture is also very important at the THAW Festival (The Hamptons Arts Weekend): It takes place at the end of March 2020 and includes three days of exhibitions, theater performances, film, music, guided tours of gardens, workshops, family days and much more. The event is organized by numerous local non-profit organizations.
