Now in their third generation, the two are forward-looking and responsible, with respect for their roots and the original. Wolfgang Gröller is a hotelier, landlord and tour guide. No sooner has he been in the restaurant than you meet him again on the lake, where he shows guests his homeland in his Plätte - a traditional wooden boat. The 1,000-year-old monastery, the famous fisherman's chancel of the parish church or the Calvary - it's well worth exploring the area.
The most beautiful view of Lake Traunsee can be enjoyed from the Bootshaus restaurant. The cuisine is without frills and airs and graces, is understandable, simple and reduced to the essentials, yet refined and cosmopolitan - the food is uncompromisingly regional. The team around head chef, "Gault Millau Chef of the Year 2023" and Jeunes Restaurateur Lukas Nagl has been rewarded with 4 Gault Millau toques and is one of the best restaurants in the country.
