Design boutique hotel stieg'nhaus
The opening of the stieg'nhaus in Salzburg's Mühlbach am Hochkönig in June 2025 marked the beginning of a new era in the hotel industry: Quiet Luxury.
All private
The stieg'nhaus is more than a hotel, it feels more like a private residence. With just six suites, it creates the feeling of being all to yourself. Natural stone, linen, wood and finely patinated fittings combine to create an atmospheric ensemble.
The culinary concept, which was developed with Austrian professional chef Markus Lorbeck, is based on the five elements of willow, water, earth, fire and nectar. Head chef Benjamin Jochum conjures up subtle compositions such as bouillabaisse with braised fennel and sea buckthorn, homemade gnocchi with chanterelles, scotch cheese and spinach or rice pudding with rocket and pistachio.
In addition to architecture and cuisine, the stieg'nhaus lives from the moments in between: from yoga classes and herbal hikes followed by a picnic to individual massages and beauty rituals. An evening at the Feuerring, a hut tour or a helicopter flight invite you to enjoy adventures in the region.
