European Ayurveda with a regional focus

The center of European Ayurveda is located in Austria - at the European Ayurveda® Resort Sonnhof, the Indian healing teachings are tailored to Western needs. The Mauracher family, who are regarded as pioneers of European Ayurveda, are convinced that life in Europe brings with it different challenges to life in Asia and so the European Ayurveda® Resort Sonnhof makes use of the symbiosis of millennia-old Ayurvedic teachings with the findings of far-sighted conventional medicine and the regional connection to the Western world.

A holistic time-out in the Tyrolean mountains

At the "Sonnhof", guests find their way back to the rhythm of nature and nutrition also plays a major role in this: only fresh regional products are served. Many of these products come from the Mauracher family's farm, the Lindhof - where sustainable agriculture and species-appropriate animal husbandry are practiced and a variety of products are produced, which are prepared according to traditional Ayurvedic recipes.

The Ayurveda Resort itself is nestled in the picturesque Tyrolean mountain landscape in Hinterthiersee, where Tyrol and India come together in the best possible way, including in the team. Trained Ayurveda doctors from India work side by side with local experts at the Sonnhof. In addition to the traditional Panchakarma treatment, there are many other treatments on offer, such as the Immune Power treatment. Themed saunas, heat cabins and a panoramic indoor pool with views of the Wilder Kaiser round off the varied offer.
