Once built by Elector Augustus the Strong as a sign of his love for Countess Cosel, the palace is now one of the most iconic luxury hotels in Germany. Especially in spring, when Dresden is in bloom and the Elbe meadows glow in fresh green, the city unfolds its very special magic and invites you to enjoy a city break.

The five-star hotel has 180 rooms and 31 suites and was the first hotel in Europe to be awarded the AFBA seal. Under the creative direction of interior designer Markus Hilzinger, hand-picked furniture, selected works of art and historical elements combine classic elegance with contemporary comfort. The highlight is the 380 square meter Royal Suite with separate living and dining areas, private wellness zones and its own kitchen - a refuge for the most discerning guests.

In the exclusive spa on the top floor, guests can enjoy massages, beauty treatments, yoga classes, a spacious pool and a modern sauna area with steam bath and infrared cabin - relaxation above the rooftops of the city included.

The culinary experience begins in the lobby with the AMALIE Pâtisserie & Lounge. The restaurant Das Palais serves creative cuisine by chef Marcel Spahn, also on the terrace in summer. The offer is complemented by the Kastenmeiers fish restaurant and the award-winning Bar 1705 with signature drinks in the style of a classic American bar.

Thanks to its central location, the Taschenbergpalais is the ideal starting point for walks along baroque sights, especially in spring when Dresden is in full bloom.
