Dolce Vita - what else?

Excelsior Venice Lido Resort

Some legends simply live longer: the Venice Film Festival took place almost as usual in September despite the coronavirus pandemic, and of course the film stars gathered at the Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort as they always have. CC experienced the lagoon city very much alive, but completely beyond overtourism. The grande dame Excelsior Palace directly on Venice's Lido has the perfect recipe: an extensive beach with around 1,000 private beach cabanas in front of you, only one in five of which felt like they were being rented out. This naturally had an impact on the number of bookings in summer: Venice's city hotels could only dream of the 60 percent occupancy rate reported here. Many German vacationers took advantage of the ingenious beach-city combination to get a taste of the Mediterranean this summer and to enjoy the cultural treasures of the lagoon city undisturbed. The Executive Director of the L+R Luxury Hotel Collection, Petra Deuter, sums up the advantages of the hotel: "The safety of our guests and employees is particularly important to us. It is equally important for us to be able to offer our guests a genuine five-star experience so that they have long-lasting memories of their stay. We are fortunate to have an enormous amount of space at our resort - with expansive private beaches, wide corridors and the largest rooms and suites in Venice, making it easy to keep your distance everywhere." So let's go, even in the fall, the Lido and Venice are simply gorgeous.
