Carmen Hackmann manages the Maslina Resort on the Croatian island of Hvar
Miro Maric's cuisine combines classic French techniques with Mediterranean elements and emphasizes local herbs and ingredients. His aim is to enrich the Maslina Resort's culinary offering with creativity, seasonality and regionality. Maric has been working in Croatia for four years, including helping the Alfred Keller restaurant in the five-star boutique hotel Alhambra on the island of Lošinj to receive its first Michelin star. He was also Chef de Cuisine at the Small Luxury Hotel Palazzo Rainis in Novigrad and Executive Sous Chef at the five-star luxury boutique hotel Lemongarden in Sutivan on the island of Brač, which has 14 Gault Millau points. Before that, Miro worked at the legendary Relais & Chateaux Taubenkobel in Austria, the Interalpen Hotel in Tyrol and as sous-chef at the starred restaurant 180 Degrees by Matthias Diether in Tallinn (one Michelin star). He speaks seven languages and has worked with many Michelin-starred chefs, including: Jan Jacob Boerma, Christian Kuchler and Sebastian Zier.
