Amanpuri translates to “peaceful place.” Situated on a lush peninsula, the resort is completely self-contained. The 40 guest pavilions and luxurious private villas are nestled on a gently sloping hillside amidst the subtropical vegetation of the coconut grove, offering picturesque views of the sea. Their graceful Thai design, featuring pointed roofs and warm woods, pays homage to the architectural style of Thailand’s former capital, Ayutthaya. The new facilities reflect the same aesthetic and blend seamlessly into the estate’s lush natural landscape.

Thanks to its tranquil surroundings, private beach, and extensive spa facilities, Amanpuri has long been a haven for those seeking relaxation. With the launch of Aman Wellness in 2016, the resort initiated a group-wide, holistic program characterized by innovative wellness stays, experiential retreats, and vegan spa cuisine. Perched on a hill, the spa now features 12 luxurious suites—six of which are newly built. All suites are also twice as large as they were before the renovation and each features a spacious treatment room, a bathroom with a steam room, a dressing room, and a relaxation pavilion in the tropical garden. Other new additions include hydrotherapy areas with steam rooms, traditional saunas, two infrared saunas, whirlpools, and cold-water pools, as well as a nail studio and hair salon.
