A BREATH OF FRESH AIR IN THE SWISS SECTION
RELAIS & CHÂTEAUX
Stéphane Décotterd, Thomas Walther and Jan Stiller now support the board of the Swiss and Liechtenstein delegation of Relais & Châteaux. Nina Molling-Califano has recently taken over the management of the Sales Club. The Swiss and Liechtenstein delegation of the association of exclusive hotels and top restaurants Relais & Châteaux is now supported on the board by the restaurateur Stéphane Décotterd (Restaurant Le Pont de Brent, Brent) and the hoteliers Thomas Walther (Hotel Walther, Pontresina) and Jan Stiller (Lenkerhof gourmet spa resort, Lenk). Stéphane Décotterd acts as Vice-Chairman and stands in for Peter Kämpfer (Hotel Park Weggis, Weggis), who has chaired the Board since 2015, when he is absent. Thomas Maechler (Beau-Rivage Hotel, Neuchâtel), who also represents the Executive Committee of the worldwide Relais & Châteaux association, also remains on the Board.
The Executive Committee
meets around four times a year to exchange information with each other and with the management of the Swiss & Liechtenstein delegation and to initiate new projects. The aim is to firmly establish the Relais & Châteaux brand in German-speaking Switzerland. "It is important to me to bring new energy and drive to the Swiss section. I consider this committee to be very important in order to promote cohesion and secure the future of Relais & Châteaux in Switzerland," says Peter Kämpfer.
Creative ideas in the Sales Club
Following Jan Stiller's move to the board of the delegation, Nina Molling-Califano (Grand Hôtel du Lac, Vevey) is now chairing the Sales Club. In this group, the sales managers or directors of the 27 Relais & Châteaux hotels in Switzerland and Liechtenstein meet regularly to create ideas for sales with a focus on the Swiss market.
