The Fairmont Sirru Fen Fushi in the middle of the Shaviyani Atoll is one of the most special resorts in the Maldives.

Once we arrive in Malé, the main island, a seaplane awaits us and with it a little extra adventure. From afar, we recognize the overwater and beach villas, which are perfectly integrated into the tropical vegetation of the private island. For the welcome ritual, a seven-person hotel team is waiting with ice-cold towels and drinks. Our butler takes us to our beach villa with good humor and warmth. Dark precious wood floors, an illuminated pagoda ceiling, an extra-wide bed, a cozy living room and a private pool are just some of the accents of the luxurious ambience. What a view of the water, which gently laps from aquamarine blue to jade green to deep blue onto the gleaming white belt of sand. A light breeze, a temperature of 28° - the lightness of being seems self-evident. The sunset that soon sets over a glass of champagne becomes a magnificent spectacle of light and nature.
We also enjoy the romance of international gourmet cuisine in all three of the resort's restaurants, which are located directly on or above the sea: Kata, an authentic Japanese restaurant with a wide variety of sushi, fish and seafood, as well as live cooking at the Raha Market Restaurant and fresh seafood at Azure. A nightcap by a fire pit at the Onu Onu pool bar - a wonderful end to a busy day.
The next day brings relaxation at the Willow Steam Spa with a sensational massage from a therapist with magic hands. The Maldives will delight everyone with a variety of water sports, with snorkeling and diving being the main attractions. The PADI diving school offers guided snorkeling and diving tours. A special feature of Sirru Fen Fushi for the protection of ecology is the Coralarium, the world's first and only coral regeneration project in the form of an underwater art installation. The half-submerged sculpture provides a sanctuary for marine life. Another unique feature of this resort is the Sustainable Lab, an educational center where special machines transform plastic waste into souvenirs and creative furniture, and the local population and schools are heavily involved in this project.
