Sorell Hotel City Weissenstein Boutique

New opening

New hotel openings are particularly exciting these days. Especially when a hotel opens its doors that knows how to impress across the board! The Sorell Hotel City Weissenstein Boutique opened its smart doors on July 1, 2020. It is located directly opposite the established Sorell Hotel City Weissenstein near St. Gallen's old town. The newly renovated hotel is characterized by urban charm, innovative interior design and first-class service. Both business guests and individual travelers get their money's worth in the 32 individually furnished rooms.

History meets modernity in the spacious lobby - the rich diversity of the Gallus city is reflected in the design as soon as you enter the boutique hotel. The team of architects IDA 14 by Karsten Schmidt designed the hotel based on the appreciation of the historic textile city - cozy, stylish and, above all, spacious. The fabrics by Jakob Schlaepfer and Christian Fischbacher lend the modern elements a cozy touch.

Discover culture traffic-free

The newly opened hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the city center and the train station. If you don't want to explore on foot, you can hire one of the hotel's bikes and cycle into the car-free old town. One of St. Gallen's landmarks is the Abbey District, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983 - the many stores and cafés invite you to browse and linger.

Urban meets digital

Whether for a business trip or a short private stay, the generously proportioned rooms can be used very flexibly. Twelve rooms have also been equipped with a kitchenette for long-term travelers. The highlight of the hotel are the two studio rooms on the top floor. They offer a free-standing bathtub and from the box-spring bed under the skylight you can look directly into the starry sky over St. Gallen.

Special attention was also paid to the digital equipment. For guests, for example, this means that they can handle everything online, from reservations and check-in to mobile keys and the digital concierge.

Meetings in the creative room

The air-conditioned creative room with natural daylight has an area of 68m2 and is suitable for workshops for up to 15 people. It can be used for meetings with up to 40 people. The creative room is equipped with the usual conference room equipment: projector, ClickShare connection technology, media hub with loudspeakers and free WLAN. There are also group work surfaces, a scrum board, high tables and comfortable seating as well as a snack and coffee corner. The creative space offers an inspiring working environment that has been designed and furnished by experts with a great deal of know-how.
