Skylark Negril, Jamaica

Pure relaxation paired with excellent cuisine

The Skylark Hotel in Negril opened in 2018.
Despite the pandemic, the influx to this cool-casual resort was so great that it was expanded by 12 rooms. The boutique hotel now comprises 40 rooms, of which the new ones are 37 m2 in size and feature a four-poster bed with a sleek wooden frame. Guests can enjoy an unobstructed view of the sea from the balcony. Jamaica in the sixties and seventies served as a source of inspiration for the interior design. Pastel and white tones dominate the ambience. Posters and comic covers from the sixties adorn the walls. Guests can relax on the 70-metre-long beach and enjoy a massage in the spa's beach cabana. The restaurant Miss Lily's is a hot spot on Seven Mile Beach. Owner Paul Salmon originally opened it in New York and then brought it to his hotel. Its bright color palette attracts a crowd that likes to have fun. Chef André Fowles prepares Jamaican specialties such as jerk chicken, a chicken in a spicy sauce that is matured in its own smokehouse. Goat steak in curry sauce and oxtail are also not to be missed here.
