Makeover for Grand Hôtel & Centre Thermal Yverdon-les-Bains

Boas Swiss Hotels finances expansion project

In around three years, the Grand Hôtel & Centre Thermal Yverdon-les-Bains will shine in completely new splendor. The hotel group BOAS Swiss Hotels is investing a total of 32 million francs in the redesign and expansion of the historic hotel complex and the leisure and wellness area. The health center is also being renovated and expanded with two new facilities that are unique in Switzerland.

Status quo at the Hôtel & Centre Thermal Yverdon-les-Bains

Yverdon-les-Bains was already a popular thermal town in Roman times and has been an attractive location for wellness and relaxation vacations for many decades. The 4-star superior hotel is surrounded by a magnificent park with mature trees and has 116 rooms, 15 seminar and banquet rooms, a "Belle Epoque" hall, a restaurant and a lounge bar. The hotel is connected to the thermal baths via a glass tunnel, which are said to have a particularly beneficial effect on muscular, joint and respiratory complaints.

Clear style and new space

As part of the renovation, the architecture of the thermal baths will be unified and given a clearer design. The connection to the Grand Hôtel is now made via a 900 m2 area into which a reception hall, a boutique, a restaurant and a café will be integrated. The renovation of the indoor pool, a new relaxation room, a sauna and hammam zone, unique fitness rooms (700 m2) and beauty treatment areas (340 m2) will complete the expansion.

Sanus per aquam deluxe

Major changes are planned for the spa area: The indoor pool will be completely renovated and a new swimming pool with play area will be added. The therapy pool will be relocated to the medical department. In addition, new facilities such as a 700 m2 fitness center and a 350 m2 care and beauty area will be created. In the park with its old trees, a small village will be created on the banks of a newly created pond, in keeping with the history of Yverdon-les-Bains. This new village will offer space for various facilities: Hamam, sauna and relaxation rooms.

BOAS Swiss Hotels has many years of spa experience. The hotel group also owns the four-star hotel with spa park "Les Bains de Saillon". This ensures that the Grand Hôtel & Centre Thermal Yverdon-les-Bains can be positioned as an important address in the Swiss spa industry.
