A new home for Flipper
Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park
The Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park is located on Florida's west coast, more precisely on Okaloosa Island. The adventure center has been home to dolphins and sea lions for 60 years. In March, a 9000 m2 dolphin oasis opened, which was built at a cost of $30 million. Three interconnected habitats and three breeding habitats are fed with almost four million liters of seawater from Florida's "Emerald Coast". Visitors can watch the dolphins play in the water, admire the animals' tricks during a show and book a personal encounter with dolphins. Their former habitat is now being adapted for manatees that have suffered damage in their natural environment and are recovering in the Gulfarium.
