Posthotel Achenkirch
An oasis of peace - the Posthotel Achenkirch is a place of power in the middle of the Austrian Alps, where slowing down, relaxation and enjoyment are top priorities for adults!
Natural living space
Characterized by an atmosphere of subtle luxury, simple elegance and Tyrolean cosiness, guests at the Posthotel Achenkirch can expect charming, comfortable hideaways furnished with fine natural materials in a stylish country house ambience. From the cozy Karwendel room in the main building to the spacious, luxuriously furnished Landhaus Suite, the rooms have one thing in common: with their unmistakable feel-good factor, they are the perfect place to switch off and let go! The new SigNature suites on the top floor of the main building are also an exclusive highlight. Designed according to the Japanese aesthetic principle "Wabi Sabi", they are furnished with natural materials throughout and impress with their simple elegance and sophisticated interior design. There are also some of these suites on the second floor - breathtaking views included! Anyone who wants to leave their suite under these luxurious conditions will be no less impressed by the other (modernized) rooms. This is ensured not least by the new games rooms, the peaceful relaxation room, the innovative restaurant "TENZO", two original creative rooms and the bathrobe bistro with sun terrace and fireplace.
Wellness with the wow factor
Fancy a unique spa experience? Austria's most exclusive water and wellness world awaits guests at the Posthotel Achenkirch on 7,000 beautiful square meters! There are 4 indoor pools and 6 outdoor pools for a relaxing dip. The sauna area was renovated in spring 2021 to create a feel-good oasis made of wood and stone. The Japanese aesthetics concept "Wabi Sabi" has been fully implemented and the whole area has a brighter and more open feel. There is a fireplace between the new Alpine and herbal saunas, which is intended to create a cozy and warm atmosphere. At the heart of the wellness oasis is a spiral with various water elements: Kneipp basin, spray mist, shower path and an ice grotto with an ice fountain. The newly designed relaxation room with tilting loungers instead of stone loungers offers precious time for the precious "me". A special highlight is the sunken temple, which is hidden inside the earth and is a place of peace and letting go: during meditation sessions, guests can enjoy switching off from everyday life and feel flooded with new life energy. The Atrium Spa offers an additional 1,000 m² of space to pamper yourself with massages and beauty treatments. A TCM doctor introduces guests to the traditions of Chinese medicine and a Shaolin master takes care of their mental and physical balance.
Relaxation inside gives way to activity outside, when guests climb onto the high backs of the horses of the largest Lipizzaner stud farm or explore the breathtaking beauty of the Alpine landscape by bike or on skis.
Culinary delights at the highest level
Gourmets at the Posthotel Achenkirch know they are in a land of milk and honey. Under the direction of head chef Maurice Mehling, only the finest regional delicacies are served, some of which come directly from the hotel's own farm and are sure to delight even the most discerning connoisseur. The dishes, prepared to the highest quality standards, are mainly created using seasonal and regional produce. Most of the meat, milk and vegetables are home-grown, locally reared or sourced from local mountain farmers. With the GaultMillau award-winning restaurant, Mehling has created his own Eldorado and enchants guests with bold creations. For the anniversary year, the chef developed a gastronomic concept that is hard to beat in its uniqueness. At TENZO, which is committed to five-element cuisine, spices from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) are fused with ingredients from seasonal Tyrolean cuisine - a flavorful firework of yin and yang. Over the last five years, a bathrobe restaurant (bistro) has also been created for uncomplicated wellness lunches, as well as a renovated main restaurant with the resounding name Delikatessenmarkt (delicatessen market), which attracts guests with a fresh buffet including a bread, cheese and juice niche and an open show kitchen.
