Grand Elisabeth Bad Ischl
Bad Ischl is a town full of imperial history and scenic beauty. The new Hotel Grand Elisabeth opened in April 2025 right next to the Theater & Kongresshaus and the Kurpark and in the immediate vicinity of the Kaiservilla.
The luxurious hotel is named after Elisabeth - also known as Sisi - the real star of the imperial family and is a tribute to her beauty and independence. References to her presence can be found throughout the hotel. An original film carriage from the "Sisi" films stands in her honor in the entrance area, and a library with books about the empress invites guests to browse.
The rooms and suites offer space for retreat, clarity and comfort and combine classic elegance with avant-garde details - just the way the rebellious monarch would have liked it. Seminars, conferences and celebrations also become moments of substance at the Grand Elisabeth. Four rooms, each with its own character, create the stage for exchange, inspiration and decision-making.
The modern Organic Alps Spa by Dorissima with saunas and indoor pool also draws on imperial traditions. The treatments are based on historical recipes from the Bad Ischl spa pharmacy, supplemented by vegan, alpine herb-based products such as arnica, gentian and edelweiss.
In the Grande Liberté restaurant, regional classics blend with creative cuisine - such as boiled beef or fried chicken with a modern twist. Sweet temptations such as Ischlertörtchen or Zaunerstollen come from the famous Zauner patisserie.
