Garden Hotel Crystal
2nd place: Alpine idyll, completely natural - The Crystal Garden Hotel in Fügen focuses on sustainability and offers a stay at the highest level with a clear conscience.
Slumbering with Swiss stone pine
Whether French Art Nouveau, rustic Tyrolean or modern country house style - the rooms and suites (20 - 59 m²) offer natural living with a high quality of life. They are all equipped with free WLAN, flat-screen TV and some have a balcony or roof terrace. The Swiss stone pine suites, which are equipped with solid wood furniture, guarantee the ultimate in sleeping comfort.
Live sustainably
Guests can also find relaxation and tranquillity in the 4,400 m² Crystal Garden, which has been enriched by the addition of the Green Pool. The natural swimming pond with an area of 130 m² does not require any chemical treatment. For the Wetscher family, sustainability is a lived philosophy and not just an empty phrase. Treating nature and the environment with care and conserving their resources - this philosophy makes a clear statement at the Gartenhotel Crystal. Sustainability is practiced across generations in the family. In terms of energy policy, senior partner Hermann Wetscher was the initiator of the district heating power plant in Fügen back in 2001, the power plant from which the hotel still obtains clean energy today. At the end of the 1970s, the hotel already had heat pumps. Later, solar panels were added, which cover the energy requirements of the entire hotel in a resource-saving manner.
The Crystal spa and the Crystal atrium spa also offer soothing massages and beauty treatments using only high-quality natural products in addition to the indoor pool, sun terrace, waterfall, grotto, whirlpool, classic sauna, steam bath, aroma grotto, amethyst fountain, fitness area, panorama and bio sauna and brine pool.
Bio tastes
The philosophy of the host family does not stop at the cuisine. For example, organic produce comes from the region, herbs and vegetables from the Crystal garden. Only first-class fruit from the garden is used for home-made jams and syrups. Sausage specialties are made by the in-house butcher from fresh game meat from animals from the hotel's own Märzengrund hunting ground. Milk and dairy products are all high-quality hay milk products from the region. Whether farmers or craftsmen, all suppliers come from the surrounding area. Because this is also sustainability for the family-run business. A consistent approach that has been awarded the "Bewusst Tirol" seal of approval every year since 2011. For the Wetschers, this is also sustainability, which gives the hotel its very special touch.
