Sustainability and environmental consciousness are not mutually exclusive here. Wastewater heat recovery, air-source heat pumps, water-source heat pumps, air-to-heat absorbers, ice storage, geothermal energy, photovoltaics, biogas combined heat and power, and a biomass heating plant—all work hand in hand at the PRIESTEREGG Premium ECO Resort. This is but one facet of the mountain village in the Pinzgau region of Salzburg, perched on a high plateau at 1,100 meters. The resort’s chalets, constructed to be nearly CO2-neutral, are directly connected to their surroundings. Almost exclusively natural, eco-friendly materials were employed during construction, and every effort has been made to ensure that interiors remain as authentic and unadulterated as possible.

Natural materials such as stone and reclaimed wood define the design, so that exclusive living comfort meets a sense of authenticity. Nestled within the sparse forest with a magnificent view of the valley and its own forest swimming area, the Wilderer Villa is one of many standout properties. The tree house–like character of the villa, which spans more than 200 square metres, is unmistakable, as the upper wing literally rests among the tree branches.
The sister villa, ETANER, also incorporates the green luxury of its surroundings into its design and reflects it generously in its high-quality, modern interior. A particular eye-catcher is the natural log kitchen island, crafted from a massive tree trunk, as well as the large solid-wood dining table. The bathroom is outfitted with luxury amenities from the Dornbracht Live Spa Collection, including the Horizontal Luxury Shower, a reclining shower with a massage function. With water as its central motif, VILLA WOSSA exudes authentic lightness and natural elegance. Nestled amid lush grasses and reeds, the villa sits at the foot of a 30-square-meter biotope featuring an integrated, heated pool.
LevelJust a few steps from VILLA ETANER, the PRIESTEREGG BAD—with its wooden terrace—spans over 3,000 square meters and was built into the hillside below the chalets. The planted flat roof blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings. It boasts sensational architecture and holistic, innovative treatments, a 25 x 5-meter year-round infinity pool, an indoor pool with an open fireplace, a Swiss stone pine “Troadkastn” sauna, an authentic Lapland smoke sauna cabin, Swiss stone pine relaxation pods, and an infinity terrace.
the finest ingredients are employed: from our own production or from nearby farms and small regional producers. The crispy bread comes from the stone oven, and the hearty bacon from the smokehouse. Milk and butter come from the contented cows of the Pinzgau farmers. Those who wish to savour even more regional produce can spend an evening at “Huwi’s Alm und Garten” for a traditional hut dinner.
