Here, the Seer family invites you to experience the five-star hotel with all your senses. Because home is important and ever-present at DAS.GOLDBERG. It doesn’t always have to be faster, higher, or farther. To further embed sustainability into the hotel’s concept, we’re going deeper. An additional heat pump with a 6,000-meter-deep borehole cools the pool in summer and heats it in winter.

: Nestled in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, DAS.GOLDBERG occupies a secluded perch on the high plateau, blending seamlessly into the surrounding mountain landscape. With the Alps’ largest nature reserve right on its doorstep, summer days begin with a hike or bike tour. More than 350 kilometres of hiking trails beckon, whether you explore independently or alongside the hotel’s resident hiking guide, Christian. Guests may also borrow hiking poles or mountain bikes directly from the property. Golf enthusiasts enjoy a 50 per cent reduction on green fees at the Gastein Golf Club. In winter, the hotel delights with direct access to the ski slope—simply step out and glide down the mountain. Simply strap on your skis and glide directly onto the slopes.

Relaxing Moments

After an action-filled day, your body and feet can fully recharge in the newly redesigned Nature’s Nest spa. Whether you are unwinding by the natural swimming area with its own sandy beach and a cocktail in hand, or lingering in the infinity pool while admiring the views of the valley and the surrounding landscape, complete relaxation is assured. Further relaxation is furnished by a herbal sauna, a Finnish sauna, a steam room and an infrared cabin. The GOLD.STOLLEN, a tepidarium inspired by the Gastein Healing Tunnel, provides a refreshing change of pace. Guests may unwind in the snug ambience of the various relaxation rooms, each offering views of the mountain panorama. Here, nature is brought indoors, and various themed areas—such as “Forest” and “Meadow”—let your thoughts wander.

All 65 studios and suites face the valley or the south, and thanks to large glass walls, they bring the surrounding nature inside. Careful attention has also been paid to the rooms themselves; with new materials like linen-covered walls and gold veins, the hotel showcases the origin of its name. As exclusive retreats with their own wellness areas, three SPA.SUITES—measuring either 60 or 90 square meters—are sure to delight. A private sauna (choose from Finnish, infrared, or Saunarium) guarantees personalized well-being. This is surpassed only by the impressive Spa Chalet.

Culinary Delights

At DAS.GOLDBERG, dining becomes an experience for all the senses. Under the guiding principle “Forest. Meadow. Treasures,” nature’s bounty is reflected in every meal—from breakfast to fine dining. The cuisine features predominantly regional ingredients, complemented by carefully selected products from beyond the region’s borders. Herbs, berries, and the very aromas of forest and meadow are paired with premium ingredients and elevated into exceptional dishes by masterful craftsmanship. Vegetarian creations, naturally, hold a permanent place on the menu. The buffet is presented like a lovingly crafted market stall—antique wooden elements, woven baskets, and other natural materials subtly underscoring each product’s provenance. Against the impressive backdrop of the Hohe Tauern National Park, every moment of enjoyment becomes a tribute to nature and its diversity. In the evening, guests can look forward to a daily-changing 5-course menu that combines regional roots with creative culinary artistry. Guests may choose between “Forest & Meadow,” a vegetarian menu, and “Delicacies,” which focuses on high-quality meat and fish dishes. Upon request, the kitchen team is also delighted to prepare a vegan menu. Seasonal ingredients, delicate flavours, and artisanal precision make every dish a special culinary experience. As an alternative, the evening menu features selected Austrian classics as well as exclusive steaks. The culinary experience is accompanied by a carefully curated wine list featuring around 500 regional and international wines—ranging from distinctive Austrian rarities to renowned wines from the world’s most prestigious wine regions.

Goldberg Culinary Highlight: In winter, a visit to the Feuer.Bar is a special experience. Interactive grill stations turn dining together into a truly delightful moment. High-quality meat skewers, vegetarian and vegan alternatives, and predominantly regional products are paired with flavors from around the world. Fire, flavor, and conviviality—all in a nutshell.
