Hotel Plunhof
With its mountain spa, the Hotel Plunhof in Ridnaun sets completely new standards in terms of wellness.
Great water world
The award-winning Spa Minera was generously expanded to over 4,000 m², and in 2019 the Acqua Minera water world opened with large panoramic glass fronts, a new 20-metre pool and relaxation pool, which is directly connected to the outdoor water world. This features a 17-metre outdoor pool and whirlpool that is heated all year round, surrounded by a natural pond with relaxation loungers in the water, and was awarded three lilies by the Relax Guide 2021, the Hotel and Spa Award 2020 and the World Luxury Spa Award 2019.
Relax at the Alpen-Hamam
Relax tired muscles in a rustic mine atmosphere in the hay and alpine herb-scented spa in the tunnel sauna, grotto realm, silver steam boiler or organic oven chamber. Wonderful signature beauty treatments such as "Alpen-Hamam", "Lebenssalz" or "Zirben Vital" get the energy flowing, and in the brand new panorama fitness and gymnastics yoga room, the circulation gets going again.
The Volggers' awareness of tradition and their love of nature runs through all areas of the hotel. In the rooms and suites, rustic farmhouse stoves exude a wonderful warmth, natural materials such as wood and stone give a cozy feeling of security.
Culinary highlights
The Plunhof does not compromise on culinary delights either. Chefs Peter and Egon Volgger serve seasonal and regional South Tyrolean specialties and gourmet Mediterranean dishes in four wood-panelled dining rooms. The hotel's own Bacchus cellar stocks more than 600 selected wines from South Tyrol and Italy. This is La Dolce Vita in Bergen!
In harmony with the world in which we live
Protecting the environment and South Tyrol's beautiful nature is also a major issue at the Plunhof: "The Plunhof is one of the first EU Ecolabel-certified hotels in South Tyrol. Thanks to our efforts in terms of energy efficiency and sustainability, we were awarded the KlimaHotel pre-certificate back in 2015. Biomass boilers or the hotel's own photovoltaic system, water-saving fittings and the conversion to LED lamps are examples of our efforts to operate in an energy-efficient manner," explain Günter and Egon Volgger. Keep up the good work!
