“You have to understand and capture the soul of the place where you’re building,” says star architect Matteo Thun. That is exactly what he did—and put into practice—when he designed the Pergola Residence. Nestled directly on the Algunder Waalweg, the building blends into the hillside, becoming one with the surrounding nature; the spacious apartments seem to merge seamlessly with the numerous grapevines.
Each of the 14 suites faces south and features the same interior design with local larch wood. The two penthouse suites, each with its own lounge for sunbathing, boast a wraparound terrace and are furnished with dark oak.
