The Land of the Three Peaks is a paradise for skiers. The 3 Peaks ski area is home to the ski centers of Alta Pusteria in South Tyrol: Monte Elmo, Monte Baranci and Croda Rossa. The Sesto Dolomites ski area offers 115 km of perfectly groomed pistes, and for those who want even more: a day's skiing at the nearby Kronplatz ski area, in Cortina on the Tofana World Cup downhill run or on the Turntaler in Sillian can be organized just as quickly from San Candido.
But San Candido also offers numerous other fun activities in the snow away from skiing, such as tobogganing, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Ice skaters will also find plenty of ice rinks to let their blades dance. Guided snowshoe hikes, hikes and bike tours are offered in both summer and winter.
In summer, guests can enjoy hiking, mountaineering, cycling, Nordic walking or Kneipp therapy. A real experience for families is the Funbob summer toboggan run on the Haunold and the adventure park in Toblach.
